SUPPORT of international projects

It's difficult to get informed properly about the newly-formed states from the dissolution of Yugoslavia, their situation and social problems, especially after the end of the war 1991- 1999. The news are sporadic and do not give an idea of how big effort need the people in these new states to come out of the transition, long more than 25 years. Above all we do not have information how families with disabled children are dealing with all these years of political and economic chaos, which, as a rule, affects worst the people who are already disadvantaged. Therefore, our Association decided to support the Association of parents with children with cerebral palsy, CP Tetovo. This Association was founded in 1996, in Tetovo, R. Macedonia and currently has 170 members. CP Tetovo is an association recognized and supported by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Education of Macedonian, the local authorities (Municipality of Tetovo) and other NGOs and NPOs

So far it has worked on many local projects, some in collaboration with national and other with foreign institutions. These projects cover various topics:
a) the awareness of local people about the needs of people with disabilities in the Municipality of Tetovo;
b) informal education;
c) the development of psycho-motor skills in people with disabilities;
d) painting workshop and socialization;
e) information desk on the rights of families with children with disabilities.

The projects of the CP Tetovo that we would like to support are:
1) aid for the reconstruction of the office that was flooded 2 December 2014 during which it was destroyed all the inventory, installation and computers;
2) the opening of a day centre for disabled children from 3 to 6 years;
3) enlargement of the centre for physical rehabilitation (currently there are only 6 tools and two rooms to cover the needs of all people living in the region with more than 270,000 inhabitants).

Housing Autonomy Project

Living independently and creating autonomous interpersonal relations is often a dream for the disabled who are generally forced to live either with their families or in an institution. Moreover, members of local communities rarely have the opportunity to interact directly with the differently able individuals and to learn from their diversity.

Our innovative project aims to give slightly disabled people the possibility to organize their lives among others. As a first step, we organize a stay of one week in a home away from their families. The house can host five to six people and two educators. The total cost of this project falls completely on the families who, in many cases, are dealing with financial hardship. We want to make this opportunity available to all those who wish to participate regardless of their financial circumstances.

We need your help to make this dream a reality. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
